Job Summary:

As an Account Executive at Chemistry PR & Multimedia, you’ll work with independent contractors, vendors, and internal staff in a pivotal role in implementing client campaigns, delivering top-notch public relations strategies, executing advertising campaigns, and coordinating video production projects. In this MULTIFACITED ROLE, you’ll be a “Jack of ALL Trades” in the world of PR, advertising, video production and social content creation.  This position will allow a go-getter to gain increasing amounts of experience and responsibility for personal and professional growth.

Our ideal candidate will work Monday through Thursday in one of the most awesome St. Louis neighborhoods, Historic Benton Park, where we have an in-house video and recording studio, editing suites and offices, as well as golf cart for easy access to Blues City Deli. Flex Fridays allow for optional work from home or at the office. Occasional travel may be required for client meetings and on-site projects.

Key Responsibilities include a Strong Combination of the Following:

Client Relations:

  • Serve as a liaison with clients when needed, maintain regular communication, and foster strong relationships.
  • Understand client goals and objectives, align agency services to meet client needs effectively.
  • Continuously assess client satisfaction and proactively address any concerns or issues.
  • Travel occasionally to meet with clients and attend relevant events.

Public Relations:

  • Develop and execute PR and social media strategies, including media outreach, press releases, managing a social posting strategy and event planning, to enhance clients’ visibility and reputation.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Create compelling written content for press releases, articles, and client communications.

Advertising:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of advertising campaigns across various platforms, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop ad creative and messaging.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reports to clients, recommending optimizations when necessary.

Graphics, Photography & Video Production:

  • Proficient in Adobe programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop & Premiere and Canva
  • Assist on video production projects from concept to completion, including scriptwriting, casting, filming, and editing.
  • Coordinate aspects of client projects from production teams to videographers, and editors to ensure high-quality video content.
  • Work with team to ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or APR (Accredited Public Relations Professional) preferred.
  • Proven experience with 5-7 years in public relations, advertising, and video production.
  • Strong understanding of PR and advertising principles, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of public relations, advertising, and video production tools and software is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and on-site project work.
  • Ideal candidate would have software knowledge to include Microsoft and Adobe products, Canva, Spout Social, Hubspot, CISION, and Google Ads/Analytics.

Chemistry PR & Multimedia is a dynamic and growing public relations firm specializing in delivering innovative and effective public relations, advertising, and video production services to our clients. We are seeking an energetic Entry Level Public Relations Associate to join our team and work closely with our Account Executive.

Job Summary:

As an Entry Level Public Relations Associate you will support the Account Executive in developing and maintaining strong client relationships, executing public relations strategies, advertising campaigns, and video production projects. You will assist in managing client accounts, coordinating project tasks, and contributing to the success of client campaigns. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience and grow within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Support:

  • Assist the Account Executive in serving as a point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Collaborate with the team to understand client goals and objectives.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to client communications.

Public Relations Assistance:

  • Support the development and execution of PR strategies, including media outreach and press release distribution.
  • Assist in monitoring media coverage and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the creation of written content for press releases and client communications.
  • Maintain a social media posting strategy for company and clients, as applicable.

Advertising Support:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of advertising campaigns across various platforms.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to gather assets and materials for ad campaigns.
  • Monitor campaign performance and assist in generating campaign reports.

Video Production Assistance:

  • Support video production projects by coordinating tasks and schedules.
  • Assist in scriptwriting, casting, filming, and editing as needed.
  • Ensure project details are documented accurately.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Company founder and managing consultant, Account Executive and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide support for internal and external teams, including independent contractors.
  • Contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Assist in budget tracking and management for client campaigns.
  • Help with invoicing, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of public relations, advertising, and video production.

Chemistry PR and Multimedia is looking for our 2024 “Top of the Class PR/Marketing Intern” to add to our team. This aspiring communicator must bring energy, enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to delivering outstanding results for our clients with a core passion and desire of wanting to learn the industry.

A little about us. Chemistry PR and Multimedia is a boutique St. Louis (Historic Benton Park) agency focused on ‘formulating’ our client’s brands by strategically providing the following communications solutions: Public Relations, Marketing, Crisis Comms, Event Management and Video Production. The company is based in Historic Benton Park – just south of Downtown St. Louis.

Think you’re a good fit? Your Core Responsibilities would be:

  • Assist in the creation of clear, accurate and compelling news copy
  • Understand how social media and traditional media work together
  • Assist Sr-level PR consultant in developing, executing, and delivering successful public relations campaigns
  • Demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in identifying media to pitch, and in creating effective client stories
  • Suggest ideas for maximizing opportunities on social media
  • Develop a solid and comprehensive understanding of our firm’s strategy
  • Help develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure a positive experience with the firm
  • Assist with – and independently develop inventive, effective campaign initiatives for clients
  • Actively participate in video projects as coordinator, videographer, interviewer and other roles
  • Embrace the opportunity to actively jump into company projects, as well as different roles and duties when company needs assistance

Our Next PR/Marketing Intern will have

  • Completed (or near completed) a degree program in Public Relations, Communications, or related studies
  • Excellent project management and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional news writing, editing and proofreading abilities
  • Track record of media pitching and placement
  • Accrued skill for writing copy and distributing pitches, news releases social posts, etc.
  • Keen sense of resourcefulness for learning and using media-centric CRM databases and similar software
  • Some experience with monitoring and media database tools is preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, Google Suite, and social media management software

Our next PR/Marketing Intern needs to be available for a minimum of 20 or more hours per week and can travel between the office and on location assignments as required.
